Potential and Outlook of Wind Power
Global wind power is now two times over last
three years. Wind power produces 2 percentages of world electricity production.
Survey shows that 13 percentages of world land areas have wind speed more than
6.9 m/s at a height equal to commercial wind turbine height and if we calculate
we came to know that wind power unit can produce forty times of
world current electricity production.
There are some countries those are
consider as leader in wind power production such as mentioned here.

In current condition,
there are 68000 operational wind turbines.
In case of United
States, in 2006, there are wind turbines those produces power 9000 MW or 25
billion KWh electricity .let’s see the power production in US in 2005

- Wind energy is less expansive as compared to fossil fuel
- In case of fossil fuel, the price of electricity will fluctuate greatly because there is variation in transportation cost and variable mining.

provide 30 % more employment as compared to coal plant per unit of energy
